UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan hosted King Mohammed VI on Tuesday at his private residence in Rabat during a private visit, according to a statement from the Moroccan Royal Cabinet cited by Al Massae.

The two leaders discussed key regional and international issues, with particular focus on developments across the Gulf and the wider Middle East.

The meeting highlights the continued deepening of ties between Rabat and Abu Dhabi, underpinned by close economic, diplomatic and security cooperation.

The UAE is among Morocco’s leading Arab investors, with significant involvement in infrastructure, real estate, energy and tourism projects.

Politically, Abu Dhabi has also backed Morocco’s position on Western Sahara, notably through the opening of a consulate general in Laayoune in 2020 and the expansion of its economic presence in the southern provinces, particularly in Dakhla.
